Norwegian seminar about global health challenges

The 3rd of February 2012, the University of Oslo organizes a Norwegian seminar about global health and the importance of academic engagement in solving global challenges.

How can Academia engage in solving global health challenges?

The Norwegian Foreign Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, will open the seminar and the head of the Norwegian Forum for Global Health Research, Inger B. Scheel, has been invited to talk about how global health research and education can be strengthened in Norway.

The Lancet-UiO Commission will be presented by rector Ole Petter Ottersen and our two Norwegian Commissioners, Sigrun Møgedal and Desmond McNeill will provide a presentation about the challenges related to global governance for health.

The seminar will take place at Georg Sverdrups hus at the University campus from 9 am to 15 pm.

The seminar is open for everyone.
