Thank you!

The Panel was pleased to receive approximately150 submissions from across the globe, including Australia, New Zealand, China, Canada, South Africa, Mexico, and the US to name a few. The diverse contributions ranged in topics from the potential environmental, health and human rights impacts of the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Treaty (TTIP) and Trans-Pacific Trade Partnership (TPP), to case studies of plain packaging laws for tobacco products in Australia and New Zealand; from the implications of trade-related aspects of intellectual property rights (TRIPS) on access to vital medicines, to the relationship between urbanization and non-communicable diseases in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Many included clear recommendations for future actions, which the Panel aims to discuss during their upcoming meeting to carry forward the process of drafting their report.  The meeting will take place at the University of Durham on the 14th and 15th of June.
