Portugese version of the Commission report launched in Rio de Janeiro

The Lancet - University of Oslo Commission's report: The Political Origins of Health Inequity: Prospects for Change was launched in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 30th. 

The launch of the report was hosted and organised by Dr Paulo Buss, director of the Global Health Centre at Fiocruz.  This centre was announced as a WHO Collaborative Center for Global Health and South-South Cooperation during the event.

Several members from the Brazilian health authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the event, in addition to WHO representatives. Rector Ole Petter Ottersen presented the work of The Lancet - UiO Commission and Professor Ilona Kickbusch from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva gave a talk about global health and health diplomacy.
