About The Foundation of Berit and Peter Wessel Zapffe

Peter Wessel Zapffe is one of the most significant philosophers in Norway. Zapffe and his spouse, Berit, bequeathed all their possessions to the University of Oslo.

In 2010, the University of Oslo established the Berit and Peter Wessel Zapffe Foundation, with Unifor as the trustee of the foundation. In 2014, the return on investment had grown so substantial that a prize could be announced for the first time.
