Expert group on financing for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Dan Banik is part of an external expert group that has been appointed by the Norwegian Government to make recommendations on ways to ensure effective financing for the SDGs.

The expert group will be led by Research Director at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) Ole Jacob Sending. Over the course of the winter, the group will have meetings with civil society organisations, donor countries and developing countries, development banks, the UN system, regional organisations, researchers and think tanks. The expert group is starting its work immediately and will deliver its report by the end of April 2023. The group’s recommendations will provide important input to the preparation of the future aid budget.
