At the conference, China as a development actor in the global south and its Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was highlighted. Under this topic, we had a good discussion with scholars and experts from Norwegian and international institutions concerning global governance, regional politics, and multilateralism.
Our team member Bjørn Brauteseth presented his paper idea on “a search for soft and hard Chinese legal enforcement mechanism in building ecological civilization”.
Vivian Guo presented the MultiChina project in general and her ideas on studying the changing behavior and environmental and social impact of Chinese business and investment in Africa.
