A delegation of 7 administrative staff members from Chancellor College visited the Centre for Development and the Environment recently, to interact with their counterparts at the University of Oslo and partake in various workshops. The group consisted of Dr. Samson Sajidu (Vice Principal), Ms. Alepha Changadeya (procurement) Mr. Godfrey Sakala (finance), Mr. Solomon Dindi (ICT), Mrs. Mary Wasili (registrar), Mr. Dickson Phiri (library) and Mr. Ernest Thindwa (program coordinator).
During their visit, the delegation had meetings and tours of several UiO institutions and departments, such as the Faculty of Social Science, central ICT administration, university library and the Vise Rector of UiO. The delegation also visited the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad, funder of the project, to share their experiences and take-backs from the study visit to Oslo. Several areas related to administration in universities were addressed during the visit, such as financial procedures, IT management, procurement, library, media, research dissemination and student administration.
