Abstract
This article introduces the concept of renewable energy in relation to concepts like 'Peace' and 'Justice'. This is followed by analyzing reality of 'renewable energy' via raw material exaction; land contracting; operational impacts; energy-use; and decommissioning. This demonstrates the serous stakes involved in the uncritical embrace and celebration of so-called “renewable energy” for peace and justice studies.
