Prof. Dan Banik, Director of The Oslo SDG Initiative, was accompanied by Ms. Kaja Elise Gresko and Mr. Nikolai Hegertun. They met with officials in the UN Deputy Secretary General’s Office as well as UN DESA’s Division for Sustainable Development Goals. The delegation discussed current research findings and the potential for future collaboration, including the Initiative’s contribution towards the High Level Political Forum in July 2019.
The Oslo SDG delegation also held several bilateral talks with the permanent missions of several countries, including Malawi, Bangladesh and Norway, where it discussed national strategies for implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
